I listen to rain plopping down from the eaves and am soothed by the slow cloudy unfurling of the season. Buds pop out here and there and the entire world has a shimmer to it. The weather and meadows and woods speak in a vast collection of voices while our current day-to-day world of politics- gone-amok seems to speak in the few same words again and again. We are living in an age of tyrants and their tirades. Or as Wm. Shakespeare opined, “Hell is empty and all of the devils are here.” What a waste of time, potential and energy at the very moment when we have literally no time to spare.
